Jam FAQs

Q: I have published my song to the charts but why can’t I see it?

A: The charts reflect the top 100 songs at any given time. The more sharing you do on Facebook and the more people interact with your song the higher it will rank in the charts.

Q: Why do I have to sign in to Facebook to purchase new styles?

A: Connecting with Facebook allows us to attribute your purchase to you so when you get a new device and sign in to Jam you will still have access to everything you’ve bought!

Q: I'm having trouble creating an account using Facebook. What should I do?

A: If you are using iOS 6 and you have native Facebook integration set up, try opening the "Settings" app and tapping "Facebook". Make sure Jam is listed under "Allow These Apps to Use Your Account" and that it is set to ON. If you're running an older version of iOS or haven't set up native Facebook integration, ensure you are entering valid login credentials when Jam redirects you to the Facebook website.

Q: What devices does Jam work with?

A: Currently Jam supports iPhone 4, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPod Touch 5th Generation. You may get some success on other iOS devices but Jam may not be stable. We are working on other platforms so stay tuned.

Q: Jam keeps crashing on my device. What can I do to fix it?

A: First of all, make sure you're using the latest version of Jam available on the App Store - we significantly improve the app with every release, so your problem may already be fixed! If that doesn't help, check out the previous question for a list of supported devices - we're working hard to make Jam great for everyone, but if your device is not listed there you may have an inferior experience.

Q: I got a feature artist request. What does that mean?

A: Congrats! The Jam team think you are good enough to be featured on our site and app. This means once you provide a photo and it is approved, your profile and image will be put into rotation in our feature artist slots on both jamapp.com.au and on the charts within Jam the app.

Q: What are my idols?

A: Your idols are the Jam artists who you have become a fan of. To them you are a fan, to you they are an idol. Simple, huh ☺

Q: I want to unlock new music styles. How do I get more Royalties?

A: You earn Royalties by publishing popular tracks - the more attention and positive feedback about your song, the more Royalties you get! If you want to get lots of Royalties without doing any work, you can also buy Royalty Packs as In-App Purchases: from your profile screen, tap the "BUY MORE" button on your current balance and you'll soon be ready to record hits in more styles!

Q: I heard a song on Jam that I own the copyright to and I haven’t given permission for it to be used. What should I do?

A: Jam is a great tool for promoting music but if you really don’t like that someone has sung one of your songs without your permission then you can contact the Jam team via our contact page. Include the track and artist name and we will investigate for you.

Q: I have an Android phone and I wanna Jam. How come there is no Jam for Android?

A: The Jam monkeys are working like crazy to learn to be awesome on Android and other platforms. Learning takes time though so with a little bit of patience you will be Jamming away on your non-Apple smart device.
